I offer a rare combination of extensive experience in commercial copywriting as well as public relations, risk communications, and newspaper publishing.
For 20 years, I worked in the newspaper business as a reporter, editor and publisher. The last four years were with the Dallas Business Journal as its banking and finance writer, and as a correspondent for the Sports Business Journal.
I moved into public relations in 2000 as vice president and director of media relations for Levenson & Brinker Public Relations in Dallas, where I also acted as a crisis communications counsel. Since 2006, I’ve served as a marketing communicator, risk communicator, and public relations counsel with Texas A&M University and The Texas A&M University System.
I am Accredited in Public Relations by the Universal Accreditation Board for the Public Relations Society of America.
